I think I’m starting to figure out why I’m still at -6 lbs. Yes. That pesky 1 lb didn’t go away over night like I hoped it would.
I think I’m not eating enough. So, my goal for today was to eat a little more than I have been and see what happens!
My lovely sister-in-law, Sunny, gave me two samples to try: Grape spark and Vanilla MRS.
The grape was OK. Not my new favorite… I prefer Strawberry Mango or Fruit Punch.
The Vanilla MRS was good! It tasted like liquid pudding. Yummmmmmmy! They say it’s even better when you add in almond, caramel or amaretto extract.
I knew I needed to eat something for a mid-morning snack. So, since I wasn’t hungry, I just ate a spoonful of all-natural peanut butter. Don’t judge me.
I knew I was going out to eat for supper, and I wasn’t sure what that was going to entail — so I had a very basic salad with grilled chicken and Italian dressing. Not exciting, but clean and filling!
I had a snack of 1/2 a Quest bar at around 3:00, then a small amount of almonds at around 4:30. I knew I wouldn’t be eating supper until around 7-7:30.
My mom and I went to a wreath-making class! So much fun! I think they came out great 🙂
After the class, we went check out a new (or new to us, anyway) restaurant in Alexandria: Spirits! Service was great, atmosphere was fun, great menu, and delicious food! To stay on my healthy track, we got hummus as an appetizer. It was served with pita chips, which is something I was avoiding, but every once in a while will be ok. For my meal, I ordered a grilled chicken breast topped with tomatoes, artichokes, spinach, and goat cheese with a side of grilled mushrooms and a side salad with sensation dressing. Everything was SO delicious!
Hopefully I figured out what was going on, and hopefully… the scale will look different (in a good way) tomorrow!!
